The Restaurant at Pearl Morrissette, Jordan Station

 

Never one to conform, Pearl Morrissette has opened its doors to diners with an ever-changing, carte blanche menu of seasonally inspired French style fare, perfectly paired with their outstanding wines.

Viewpointe Estate Winery, Harrow

 

Perched on the edge of Lake Erie, Viewpointe is one of Essex County’s treasures, showcasing culinary diversity and a magnificent panorama from the patio.

What better complements an old 1800s barn than great craft beer and old school barbeque? Possibly the hippest renovated cowshed in Niagara, Oast House Brewers invites you to the big red barn for Friday night pints, live music and BBQ.

Paddock Cafe at Adamo Estate Winery, Orangeville

 

Come for the award –winning wine, stay a bit longer for the farm-to-table fare and views overlooking the vineyard and countryside. The selection of charcuterie plates featuring salumi and cheese, cured and aged onsite, come highly recommended.

Visit the oldest winery in The County, nestled among the vines and orchards, overlooking Prince Edward Bay. The full-service restaurant features grand windows with a commanding view of Lake Ontario, and a menu that includes poultry and produce from the winery’s own operational farm and gardens.

Kitchen 76 at Two Sisters Vineyard, Niagara-on-the-Lake

 

Looking for an authentic, rustic Italian menu perfectly paired with full bodied red wine overlooking over 100 acres of vineyard? Look no further; just get yourself to Two Sisters (reservations are recommended).

Located just below Haliburton and Muskoka, Boshkung serves as a gateway to cottage country and has become an essential stop for tasty small batch brews and the local seasonal food at Rhubarb. Tip: on warm fall days, snag a picnic table overlooking Mirror Lake. Instagram gold!

Restaurant at Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery, St. Davids

 

One of Niagara’s heritage vineyards, Ravine Winery employs green practices both in the winemaking and in the kitchen. They grow their own organic vegetables onsite, bake their own bread and sell their own canned preserves. Farm dining at its best.

Surrounded by vineyards, Carolinian forests, Lake Erie shores and lavender fields, there’s no end to the views at this lovely fusion-style bistro in southwestern Ontario’s EPIC wine country.

Riverside Brewpub at Whitewater Brewery, Foresters Falls

 

Located right by the Ottawa River, Whitewater Brewing Company brings the same passion and priorities they invest in their craft beer to their seasonal, locally sourced brewpub menu.

Spend an afternoon at this oasis in the Caledon countryside. May we recommend the Cider Master’s Charcuterie Board; five cider samples paired with artisan cheeses, cured meats, Ice Cider Pate, Cafe de Paris Butter and artisan bread made onsite.

 

Side note: Go for a stroll and check out the new boardwalk and viewing platform at nearby Cheltenham Badlands.

The Restaurant at Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery, Beamsville

 

Dine in a restored 1885 Queen Anne Victorian style manor at Peninsula Estates Winery for lunch, dinner or leisurely Sunday brunch. On a clear day, you can see the Toronto skyline from the vineyard.

Inspired by the clean, fresh water of northern Ontario, Lake of the Woods Brewing Company’s Sultana Gold Blonde Ale is a Royal Winter Fair winner – best paired with comfort pub fare at the tap room. Ask about onsite brewery tours.

What pairs extremely well with a delicious cider? Lamb sliders and wood fired pizza, of course. Add in a breathtaking view overlooking Prince Edward Bay and you have yet another reason to visit Prince Edward County.
