COVID-19 Guidance for Travelers

The Canada border is open to fully vaccinated American citizens and permanent residents (currently residing in the US) for discretionary travel as of August 9, 2021.

Travelers should check if they are eligible to enter Canada and meet all entry requirements before heading to the border. In addition, some provinces and territories may have their own entry restrictions in place. Check and follow both the federal and any provincial or territorial restrictions and requirements before traveling.

Travel to Canada is going to be a little different than it was prior to the pandemic, but the measures in place are in the interest of everyone. We encourage all travelers to be fully informed of the pre-entry and on-arrival public health and testing requirements both federally and provincially.
